A virtual machine is a type of computer software that allows you to run different versions of the Windows operating system on your computer. This can be helpful if you have limited resources or want to run a slower operating system on your PC. However, virtual machines can be slower than regular operating systems, and if you have enough memory and storage space, performance shouldn’t be a big issue.

Your first step is to download Microsoft’s Windows 11 ISO file, which you can use directly to set up your VM. To obtain this ISO file, you need to register with Microsoft’s Windows Insider program, for which you need a Microsoft account. If you have not yet joined the Insider program, please navigate to the Windows Insider page and sign in with your Microsoft account. On the registration page, check the box to accept the terms of this agreement and click Register now.
To download the Windows Insider Preview ISO file, navigate to the Windows Insider Preview Downloads page and sign in with your Microsoft account. Scroll down to the Select Edit section. Click on the drop-down menu to select the edition. Here, you can choose Windows 11 Insider Preview (Channel Dev) or Windows 11 Insider Preview (Channel Beta).
Windows 11 will have two release channels: the Beta channel, which is more stable and will only contain features that are expected to appear in this year’s official release, and the Dev channel, which is less stable and will contain the latest updates and features as well as those planned for later this year. ..
Then, select the product language and click Confirm. Click on the Download button button for the compilation and the language you have chosen and save the file on your computer. ..

The download page for the virtual machine software program offers a link to create a new virtual machine. After clicking on the link, the user is taken to a page where they can enter their computer’s information and click on the Create button.
In the New Virtual Machine Wizard, click the Installer Disk Image File (iso) option. Browse to the downloaded Windows 11 ISO file and select it. Click Next. ..
You must then select a guest operating system. Choose Microsoft Windows and set the version to Windows 10 x64. Click Next.
You can now name the virtual machine Windows 11 Preview. Choose the location where you want to store the virtual machine and all its associated files and click Next.
