How to Prevent Your Location from getting Tracked by Uber – Guide

Uber has just released an update that allows the app to gather area information in any case when it’s not already open. This update is a job, according to Uber, to make the embarkation and disembarkation places more defined and increase user safety.

Uber is constantly exploring ways to improve the pilot experience by improving their ETA assessments. They want to be able to distinguish the best getting area on some random road, and they are asking passengers to provide more data to achieve this goal.

  1. Log in to your Uber account and click on the “Settings” button.
  2. Scroll down and click on the “Location” tab.
  3. Click on the “Revoke Location” button.

To prevent Uber from tracking your iPhone’s location, you can go to Settings > Privacy > Location Services on your iPhone.

The Uber app is available in the list of apps and you can tap it to start using it.

To use Uber during use, select “During Use” on the app. This will allow Uber to access your location while you are using the app.

If you don’t want to allow Uber to access your location completely, tap “Uber” in the app list and select “Never.”

This guide will show you how to easily revoke Uber’s permissions to use your device’s location. After denying access to the location, you will either have to manually enter the pickup location within the app or you can also enable the service for some time and then disable it once your tour starts.
