How to install Apple’s new software – Guide
Apple’s latest iOS and iPadOS software updates will be available on launch day.
iOS 15 and iPadOS 15 will be ready to download and install on your iPhone and iPad this Monday, September 20, as Apple announced during its iPhone 13 event this week. It also introduced the new iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Mini – all available for pre-order now – and its newest iPad, iPad Mini and Apple Watch Series 7. Software updates come with a slew of new ones features for iPhones and iPads.
Apple has added new FaceTime features which, for the first time, will allow Android and PC users to participate. Additionally, iMessage improvements make it easier to track links and photos your friends have sent. The iPad is getting a full home Screen makeover and multitasking is finally getting the needed boost for years.
If you have an iPhone or iPad, you can install iOS 15 on them as soon as the time comes. However, if you don’t have an iPhone or iPad, we recommend that you prepare them in advance. Here are some tips to help make that happen:
- Make sure your devices are ready Before installing iOS 15 on your devices, it’s important to make sure they’re ready. Make sure your devices are charged and unlocked, and that they’re running the latest version of iOS (12.9 or later). If everything looks good, go ahead and install iOS 15. However, if there are any issues with your devices or you don’t have the latest version of iOS available, we recommend that you wait until later to try and install it.
- Get help from a professional If you’re having trouble installing iOS 15 on your devices or if something isn’t working right, it’s best to get help from a professional. There may be something wrong with your device or with the installation process itself – so it’s important to find out what’s going on before getting too far down the road.
