If you are a Microsoft Teams administrator, follow the steps in this article to archive or delete a team that is no longer needed.

When you archive a team, all activities for that team are stopped. When you archive a team, the team’s private channels and associated site collections are also archived. However, you can still add or remove members and update roles, and you can still see all team activity across standard and private channels, files, and chats.
