How to Add Audio in Google Slides Presentation – Guide
Now we can embed audio into Google Slides – it can be speech, music, narration, sound effects, any type of audio you have access to or want to create. For many years, teachers asked me how to add audio – usually narration or background music – to Google Slides. Google heard our request and now we have a new menu option: Insert > Audio! Live! There are so many ways to use this feature in our lesson plans and student projects.

However, care must be taken if you plan to use SoundCloud or YouTube audio as some tracks are copyrighted, so it’s best to opt for audio that fits into the Creative Commons category or is in the public domain.
Here are the steps to add audio to Presentations:
Upload the audio file to Google Drive. ..
Click on the “Audio” tab and select the audio you want to add.

In the “Insert Audio” window, you can search your audio file in My Disk, Shared Drives, Shared with Me, or Recent. You can also type the name of your audio file into the search bar.
Select the file you want to add and click “Open.” ..
Your audio file will now appear on your slide as a small sound icon. To resize the icon, click on it and drag one of its corners outwards or inwards.
Below are steps to add music to Google Slides with Spotify:
Open Spotify on your desktop or Web player.
Copy song link: Click the ellipsis icon next to the desired song, album or playlist and pop-up, go to “Share”And click“ Copy song link ”.

When you present, be sure to log in to the Spotify browser version. While you’re presenting, you’ll need to click on the link which will open Spotify in a new browser window. You’ll still need to click play the song in the Spotify window before returning to your Google Slides presentation.
